The Selby Three Swans Sportive was originally created by Selby Cycling to raise funds for the club and Yorkshire Cancer Research.  The aim of the sportive is to engage as many people as possible from a wide range of ages and abilities in the joy of cycling. 

Today the event is run by Velo 29 with three routes, feed stations and a great day guaranteed.  Selby Cycling Club receives a proportion of the revenue from this event which it donates to schools in the Selby area towards Bikeability Training for their students.
